Pleo the dinosaur is a robotic dinosaur fashioned in the style of a Camarasaurus dinosaur. The toy is designed by Caleb Chung, who was part creator of the Furby toy. Pleo was created by a select pack of animators, scientists, and top engineers. The toy is more lifelike than any toy on the market and offers such features as object recognition and beat detection so pleo can dance to different music.
What sets Pleo apart from other toys is his artificial intelligence. When Pleo is initially turned on, he goes through a "birthing process" similar to a newborn baby. The dinosaur coos when you pet him under the chin and whines when you try to pick him up. Watching the toy evolve as time goes by is an amazing treat for my children and even myself and my wife.
